" />My sister in law, Elizabeth, used to teach with these ladies, and they decided last year that they wanted to start a dinner club where they would get together once a month and prepare meals that they can each take home to enjoy at a later date. They call themselves the Dinnertime Divas, or DTD...
The DTD each choose a recipe, usually revolving around a theme (Around the World, Meatless, Casseroles, "Balls,"...), and then they bring enough of the ingredients for all 6 of them. They then set up stations around a kitchen and go around filling freezable containers full of each recipe's stuff. At the end of the night, they walk away with 6 meals. Pretty cool, huh? Also cool...they drink wine and eat yummy appetizers while they chit chat and laugh together.
These ladies have a blog, and they also are trying to parlay this into a business. I am not sure of their business plan, but if it has anything to do with them making my life easier by not having to cook for a few nights, I say it sounds wonderful.
They had me come in to snap some pics of them in action so that when their business takes off, they have some pictures of what they do and how they do it. Check out the DTD, live, in action.
Best part...? They paid me in food. They each prepared a meal for me, and now I don't have to cook for a week. This will now be an option on my pricing page for future customers. :-)
